Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, climb a ladder, lift and/or move materials up to 50 lbs.
Records parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and returns unused parts.
Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Documents work by completing service work orders on each job, including daily timesheet, progress work reports, and maintaining files.
Uses a variety of hand tools, interpreting control drawings, plans and specifications, to mount, assemble, test, and program and service Building Management Systems.
Maintains hand tools (supplied by employee) and other special high end tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and tear.
Responsible for day to service assignments to various customers site. At times performing upgrades and service projects requiring end to end testing, program loading, start-up, commissioning, and assigned projects. Working independently and the ability to perform and schedule small service projects a plus.
Keeps current on Delta products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair of DDC systems.
Provides training and follow-up training on customer site.

Ability to comprehend technical and mathematical instructions using numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio, and percent. Proficient in using laptop PCs and computer systems.
This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions. Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment; to wet and/or humid conditions; to high, precarious places; to fumes or airborne particles; to outside weather conditions; to risk of electrical shock and vibration; to toxic or caustic chemicals; to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to read, understand, and/or write short and simple correspondence and memos.
Valid Driver’s License
Low voltage electrical experience
