Validate and build EV charging equipment, handling testing, fixtures, and documentation.
-Support validation testing for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products. -Maintain build quality standards and ensure best practices are followed in all build activities. -Report out results utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc. -Build high voltage electrical test boxes and harnesses to support testing. -Collaborate with Engineering on writing build procedures and work instructions for various mechanical and electrical assemblies. -Execute tests utilizing high voltage electrical test equipment. -Maintain all lab equipment and provide a professional working environment on the shop floor. -Support all phases of the product development build processes from Prototype, EVT and DVT level builds for next generation Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for both consumer facing and commercial products. -Develop, design, and fabricate mechanical fixtures or jigs for test stages. -Participate in tear downs and document issues and defects into reports utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, etc.
-Be a good self-starter, have a strong ability to deal with ambiguity, establish priorities, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision. -Proficiency on necessary test and measurement tools (Oscilloscope, Multimeters, Thermal DAQs) -+3 years of experience in validation testing for automotive, aerospace, high voltage or related industries. -Able to lift 50lbs unassisted. -Experience with environmental testing for thermal testing, rain, snow, salt-fog, and grid tied surge testing is a plus. -Working Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Power Electronics, and DC Fast Charging. -Have good organizational skills and an ability to multi-task. -Occasional domestic and international travel required. -Fork-Lift Certified
