Solar Inspection Technician

Description

• Call AHJ to confirm inspectiontime framein the AM
• Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
• Set up and tie off ladders for the city/county inspectors
• Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls
• Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemblevery smallobjects
• Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) whileremainingin place
• Maintaining the safety of themselves and others by adhering to all written and verbal instructions, promptlyreportingand/or correcting all hazards or unsafe conditions, questioning nonstandard operationsor environmentalfactors that may involve unmitigated hazards, and providing feedback to Branch Manager on all safety issues
• Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body forlong periodswithout getting tired
• Review pictures and gather all necessary parts to complete inspection on site
• Determinethe distance between objects
• Verifying labeling and placards are up to code for inspection
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Sit on inspections that have zero to little cleanup work needed
• Keep inspection vehicle stocked with the necessary materials
• Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
• Repeat the same movements
• Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles
• Service solar panel systems when necessary
• Open electrical panels & junction boxes so the inspector canobserveinside
• Take notes for corrections and notify Branch Manager of any issues or updates

Requirements

• React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet forlong periodsof time
• Good motivation with attention to productivity,detailand safety
• Minimum licensing requirement to legally perform the job descriptions in each market
• Excellent customer service skills
• Be able to lift 50 pounds of weightfrequentlythroughout assigned workday
• Liftupto 50+ pounds
• Must have a valid state driver's license
• Walk or run forlong periodsof time
• Familiarity with electrical plans and field layouts
• Must have a clean driving record
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
• High School Graduate,GEDor equivalent
• Preferred 1+ years of experience from relatable field
• Able to work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas
• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• Understand the speech of another person
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Regular,reliableand predictable attendance
