Knowledge and technical understanding of controlled waters (surface water and groundwater) and human health risk assessments and screening criteria used in the UK.
Build excellent network, excellent professional relationships and strong links to the UK practice including utilising good communication and presentation skills.
Located near an AtkinsRéalis India office ideally Bengaluru or Mumbai, or willingness for regular travel to visit the team.
Knowledge and technical understanding of conceptual site models and generic risk assessments for soils and waters.
Experience of working for global regions will be preferable either in an excellence centre or in the region.
Understanding of environmental regulations ideally in the UK.
UK industry standards and codes of practice for ground investigations and potentially contaminated sites i.e. CIRIA, 2001. Contaminated land risk assessment. A guide to good practice (C552), and have broad understanding of DEFRA, 2012. Environmental Protection Act 1990: Part 2A, Contaminated Land Statutory Guidance etc.
Good communication and presentation skills with ability to network and build strong links to the UK practice.
Ability to take initiative and work independently or within a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the project/team/wider team.
Field work experience would be an advance but not essential.
Experience of conducting Phase 1 Site Assessment and Phase 2 intrusive Site Investigation, with experience of multiple site investigation techniques.
Experience of technical support to members of the team, supporting and driving their development and ensuring a high-quality deliverable to time and budget
Post Graduate Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject e.g. geology, geosciences, chemistry, environmental science and hydrogeology.
Knowledge / experience in soil waste management/waste handling/waste remediation is an advantage.
Experience of management of a team, ensuring the team has sufficient workload to meet productivity targets.
15+ years' experience in environmental assessment, either in contaminated/brownfield land, water or waste assessments.
Proficient ability to interpret, review and analyse large and complex soil and water data and producing well written factual and interpretative reports.
