The Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager in administering, directing, and coordinating the field supervisory personnel of the operations division. This role reports directly to the Project Manager and serves as a key liaison within the project team.
The position involves distributing design revisions, assisting in the creation and implementation of operating procedures, supporting project closeout, representing the company in owner negotiations, maintaining meeting minutes, reporting progress, and conducting basic estimating and quote solicitation. These responsibilities ensure smooth project operations and effective communication across all stakeholders.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline, or alternatively a degree in another field combined with four years of Project Engineer experience. A preferred qualification is a degree specifically in construction management or civil engineering. Applicants should have at least two years of Project Engineer experience with construction management, with four or more years preferred, and must demonstrate a solid understanding of industry practices and trends along with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
