Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.
Responsible for developing design, specification, selection and services relating to Process Equipment including but not limited to Pressure Vessels, Spheres, Storage Tanks, Process Columns, Column Internals, Reactors, Scrubbers, Unfired Heat Transfer equipment, Electric Heaters, Silos, Bins, Mounded Vessels, Pig Launchers and Receivers.
Participation in the inspection of equipment at shop or field (a plus).
Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.

Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents. Shall be able to effectively handle the tasks given as a Resonsible Engineer for the Requisition handled, with minimal guidance from seniors.
Working knowledge on re-rating of process equipment, repair and re-qualification of fabricated equipment.
Familiarity with NACE compliance and lethal services.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Skills are typically acquired through a graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering and a minimum of 4 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 4-8 years.
Experience in material selection per process requirements in compliance with various national and international codes and standards.
Exposure to European codes for process and storage equipment (a plus).
Willing to travel globally and carry out short term assignments with other KBR offices/ client offices or with project site facility as needed to support projects.
Worked with process equipment in the shop or field (a plus).
Must be familiar with FEED and EPC/EPCM activities including but not limited preparation of Material Requisition, Technical Specification, Design using ASME, API and other International Codes/ Standard, Mechanical Data Sheets, Supplier offer review, Technical Bid Evaluation, Vendor Documents Review and Interfaces with Inter disciplines as required.
Working Knowledge of FEA using software like ANSYS, Nozzle Pro etc (a plus).
Familiar with software used in design of storage tanks such as AMETANK.
Working knowledge of wind and seismic analysis using various National and International codes, standards and case studies.
Familiar with software used in design of pressure vessels such as DISASU, PVElite and/or COMPRESS
Knowledge of NDT requirement, code stamping and WPS /PQR (a plus).
