• Provide project leadership under the supervision of a Project Engineering Superintendent.
• Deliver designated project results on schedule and within budget.
• Develop the Project Procedure Manual with guidance from the superintendent.
• Report project status to the Project Engineering Superintendent.
• Coordinate schedule and budget elements with Project Controls.
• Determine staffing needs and direct design team personnel.
• Document and manage contract issues according to contract terms.
• Establish a cost‑effective environment.
• Proactively address challenges and deliver value.
• Assess and mitigate project risk.
• Maintain communication on all project aspects.
• Define scope and manage changes effectively.
• Ensure safe work environment, design, and compliance with client safety guidelines.
• Conduct requirements reviews.
• Verify adequate Project Controls are in place and functioning.
• Define project organization under supervisor guidance.
• Develop and follow the Project Execution Plan throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor the project team.
• Interface with the client regarding project matters.
• Comply with operating guidelines and ISO‑9001 standards.

Requirements

Ideal candidates have 5 to 10 years of experience and do not necessarily need an engineering degree; a background in construction management is acceptable. The role involves planning, directing, organizing and executing designated project activities to meet goals within the allotted time and budget, either personally or through assigned supervisors.

A B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or an MBA is preferred.

• 5–10 years of relevant experience; engineering degree preferred but PM experience considered.
• Professional Engineering license preferred, not required.
• Experience in the petrochemical industry is highly desirable.
• Able to plan, organize, and manage small projects up to $10 MM TIC.
• Knowledge of engineering management across multiple disciplines and interface coordination.
• Working knowledge of material management, construction, and site issues.
• Strong leadership presence, motivational skills, and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with key personnel.
• Positive and respectful communication style.
• Preference for direct‑hire or client‑rep experience in petrochemical sector.

Benefits

The position offers an hourly rate of USD $65.00 to $85.00.
