Description
Maintain and leverage an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the global legislative landscape (AD/CVD, Section 232, Section 201 and 301 , et.al.) impacting PV and BESS equipment, suppliers, and Atlantica’s sourcing options and negotiations.
As with PV and BESS suppliers, work closely with third party auditors like Kiwa Pi-Berlin, CEA, Enertis , UL and others to ensure supplier product and production facilities meet or exceed Atlantica quality standards.
Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFI/RFQ /RFP development, bid analysis, commercial evaluation, and supplier selection .
Perform supplier performance reviews, business reviews, and corrective action plans.
Manage procurement timelines to align with project schedules, forecast demand, and secure long-lead equipment.
Negotiate Framework agreement pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and performance guarantees to optimize total cost of ownership.
In the determination of whether to pursue aggregated verse disaggregated BESS sourcing and procurement, p repare total cost of ownership, technical integration and risk assessment, Supplier Capability & Supply Chain Resilience Analysis, Warranty & Performance Guarantee Review s, Cost & Risk Sensitivity Modeling , Commercial Flexibility & Technology Roadmap Fit analyses.
Track and mitigate risks related to tariffs, anti-dumping/countervailing duties, Section 201/301/232, and country-of-origin requirements.
Leverage global Atlantica PV and BESS demand profiles to maximize leverage, negotiations and savings with suppliers.
Collaborate with Legal and Risk to ensure adherence to commercial, regulatory, trade, and tariff requirements.
Maintain a detailed understanding of global supply chains, manufacturing locations, and risk landscapes for PV and BESS.
Draft, review, negotiate and execute framework agreements, master supply agreements, Long-term service agreements, purchase contracts, service contracts , and purchase orders.
Work with legal and suppliers to develop and execute Framework agreements to secure capacity, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive cost savings.
Work closely with ANZA Renewables and utilize all their tools and insights to d evelop and implement long-term category strategies for PV modules and BESS components (cells, packs, containers, PCS, transformers, EMS), and related electrical equipment.
Support cost estimation, budgeting, and bill-of-materials development for bids and active projects.
Partner with Engineering, EPC, Project Development, Finance, and Construction teams to align sourcing strategies with technical and commercial requirements.
Conduct analyses and utilize market and industry insights to identify emerging suppliers, cost drivers, technological trends, and geopolitical/tariff impacts.
Ensure suppliers meet quality, safety, compliance, ESG, and code of conduct standards.
Provide category expertise during project development, procurement planning, and project execution.
Develop strong strategic partnerships with tier-1 and emerging suppliers across the PV and BESS industries.
