The Senior Logistics Specialist, based in Dubai, will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, end‑to‑end, on‑time, and cost‑effective availability of materials and installation tools. The role includes overseeing documentation and process compliance, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to provide logistics support to internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the Frontline and Area Logistics Manager in managing frontline logistics performance and delivering timely information to technicians, supervisors, and project managers.
Lead, direct, and control logistics operations, policies, procedures, and activities to maximise efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost‑effectiveness. Act as the focal point of contact for KONE and logistics service providers for material volume planning, inventory management, warehousing, customs clearance, regulatory approvals, transport, and distribution. Identify, drive, and execute continuous‑improvement and variable cost productivity projects while ensuring data completeness and accuracy for reporting. Establish KPIs and SLAs for transit and delivery times, inventory levels, transportation and warehousing costs, and service standards, and monitor performance of internal and external parties against these metrics. Maintain timely reports, data analytics, and dashboards for metric visibility and communication.
Conduct timely cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure KPI compliance and drive inventory integrity. Support review of project‑level logistics cost budgets and report operational performance data to the regional manager. Execute logistics safety programs with internal functions and external service providers. Plan and organise transport of material from the distribution centre to frontline sites, handling logistics service providers, customs and broker information, and ensuring clearance compliance. Coordinate delivery of materials from the local warehouse to sites, consolidate local materials, manage site delivery of installation tools, and order additional transportation services as required. Review invoices and purchase‑order discrepancies, post logistics costs to appropriate categories and projects, and ensure stock replenishment.
This role demands a proactive and highly organized professional who can lead with integrity, adapt to evolving technologies, and maintain high operational and safety standards in line with KONE’s policies and regional regulatory requirements.
Minimum 5‑7 years of hands‑on logistics operations experience is required, with proven expertise in ERP systems, especially SAP MM. Candidates must possess a deep understanding of logistics operations, inventory control processes, storage practices, supply chain principles, and HSE protocols, as well as familiarity with customs documentation, local regulatory compliance, and import/export procedures. Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills, high attention to detail, integrity, and a solution‑oriented approach are essential, along with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
