Training Oversight and Standardization Direct the design, delivery, and evaluation of safety and operational training programs.

Acts as the primary point of contact for agency communications, inspections, audits, and reporting.
Represent the company in regulatory forums and collaborates with internal stakeholders to interpret and implement evolving regulations across all operational sites
Provide regular reports and insights to executive leadership and regulatory bodies as required.
Provides strategic and operational support to on-site personnel during emergencies, guiding mitigation efforts and implementing protective measures to safeguard employees, contractors and assets.
Leads the development of incident management procedures, including root cause analysis, trend tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with senior leaders in Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and Engineering to integrate EHS&T into business planning, project execution, and workforce development.
As a member of the Ormat’s senior leadership group, engage in the development of overall corporate strategy and work collaboratively with your peer group to exceed the performance goals for the organization as a whole.
Ensures timely and accurate submission of required documentation and facilitates transparent dialogue to support compliance, resolve issues, and promote Ormat’s commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
Performance Metrics and Reporting Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for EHS&T effectiveness.
Use findings to inform training updates and process improvements.
Policy and Program Development Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS&T policies, procedures, and training programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Auditing, Incident Management and Reporting Design and implement robust systems to monitor and evaluate internal and external EHS&T performance.
Incident Management and Continuous Improvement Oversee incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Establish and maintain proactive relationships with federal, state, and international Environmental, Health, and Safety regulatory bodies.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
Team Leadership and Development Lead and mentor a team of EHS&T professionals.

Demonstrated success in leading EHS&T programs across geographically dispersed and operationally complex environments.
A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is strongly desired. Candidates who do not currently hold a CSP should demonstrate the ability and commitment to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
However, extensive and directly relevant experience in environmental, health, safety, and training leadership— particularly in industrial or energy sectors—may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Training roles, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive-level position.
Must be able to travel long distances by both car and air, including to remote or international locations as needed.
A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field is preferred.
Experience supporting or leading Environmental, Health, Safety, and Training initiatives at international sites is highly desirable. Familiarity with cross-border regulatory frameworks, multicultural team dynamics, and global operational standards will be considered a strong asset.
