Payroll Reporting Analyst

Description

• Responsible for Union reporting and inquiries.
• Preparation of year-end reconciliation, filing and issuing of T4s and T2200s.
• Respond to all employee enquiries as required and maintain employment files.
• Full cycle payroll administration for payrolls located in Ontario, British Columbia and Washington USA including time data validation and import, payroll profile maintenance, retro calculations and ROE processing per Union collective Agreement and Electrician Apprenticeship Program.
• Preparation of month end binders for the finance department, including reconciliations for each payroll account on the trial balanceReconciliation and processing of all required fillings, including but not limited to Source Deductions, WSIB, EHT, 941, 940, US Union, ON Union, FRO/Garnishments, RRSP, etc.
• Assistance with annual Audit or any other audits as required.
• JE posting and GL reconciliations for payroll related accounts. Assist with ad-hoc requests received from the Accounting Department.
• Coordinate with the Human Resources Department to maintain electrician’s level and retro increase accordingly.

Requirements

• Experience with Jonas payroll system is an asset.
• Experience performing full cycle payroll administration in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are vital to the role.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move forward the work at hand.
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant Federal, Provincial and Local Legislative Requirements.
• PCP certification is required.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Proven commitment; a team player.
• University degree in Business/Accounting is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• 1-5 years of experience and knowledge of all aspects of full-cycle payroll administration.
