The Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician ensures quality and safety of construction projects by independently collecting material samples from various sites and performing tests and inspections using specialized equipment. Findings are documented and communicated to project managers and stakeholders to support informed decision‑making and maintain structural integrity.

Candidates must have strong communication skills, be a team player, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and maintaining constant alertness for safety. An associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred, as are certifications such as ACI Grade 1, ICC Nuclear Gauge, or DOT/Road certifications.
