Our Energy Management Systems (EMS) team is seeking a Software Engineer who will provide functional and technical expertise to EMS projects, bridging business and technical aspects of Power System Operations and Market Operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year leading software development/maintenance; 3+ years with AREVA/GE Energy Management System (required for lead position).
- Experience in real‑time system programming within the electric utility industry.
- Knowledge of bulk power system operations and EMS analysis tools and their integration with market systems.
- Proficiency with UNIX, Oracle PL/SQL, C++, and Java.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Desired: Experience with AREVA/GE Energy Management and Markets applications.
- Desired: Project management skills.
