What you would be doing

Implement operating rhythm for continuous improvement, accountability, and efficiency in supplier engagement in Execution
Source and develop certified minority, veteran-owned, women-owned, and small business suppliers to achieve customer requirements
Identify, evaluate and manage supplier relationships.
Develop and execute commodity strategies to meet GSI NAM Project needs ensuring cost, quality and delivery.
Work closely with Tender Sourcing Leaders on commercial bids to align on commodity strategy, ensuring supplier evaluation and selection is completed in tender stage.
Negotiate master supply agreements as well as project-specific agreements for equipment and material
Track market trends, commodity prices and risks to implement buy strategies.
Ensure compliance with GE sourcing policies and procedures
Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality team to assess, and qualify new suppliers

Bachelors degree in engineering or technical discipline
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Able to develop a strategy and drive execution in a matrixed environment
Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing in a high voltage electrical construction project environment
Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and in budget
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years of experience with contracting and negotiation of equipment and material
Negotiation expertise
Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time, and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
