Analyze fabrication data to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements for current and next builds
Help maintain updated documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flow diagrams of the projects assigned.
Ensure that First-of-Kind covers all quality requirements by maintaining detailed documentation of validation and fabrication processes, including test reports and analysis of results.
Design and optimize process flow and cycle times
Develop the protocol of fabrication for prototypes, these documents will describe details about the fabrication processes, assembly and validation.
Coordinate technical training for technicians
Create final reports of the prototypes fabricated.
Apply DFX (Design for Excellence) IEM principles
Collaborate with the Engineering team to review and validate design products, ensuring feasibility and compliance with technical requirements
Develop and evaluation plan of new technologies
Support the development and updating designs to ensure consistent fabrication practices
Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) all equipment in the Fabrication Lab
Define lead times and fabrication milestones of each job
Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and other improvement methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and safety protocols.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
2-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
Experience with switchgear design and/or manufacturing would be beneficial.
Experience with metal fabrication (laser, press brake, bus bar) and assembly.
Willingness to learn and apply new skills in a manufacturing setting.
