The Project Engineer will handle a wide range of duties, including maintaining project filing systems, updating drawings and specifications, distributing documents to subcontractors, and supporting CPM schedule preparation. Responsibilities also cover managing RFI and submittal logs, performing expediting functions, verifying labor quantities, preparing extra work orders, and assembling change order documentation, as well as maintaining progress photos and compiling close‑out documents.
- Attend and document project meetings
- Set up and maintain project filing system
- Update and maintain drawings, specifications, and logs
- Distribute documents to subcontractors and keep document logs
- Assist with preparation and update of CPM schedules
- Evaluate field problems and document RFIs
- Prepare and maintain RFI logs on CMIC system
- Review, evaluate, and transmit submittals
- Maintain submittal and expediting logs
- Perform expediting functions
- Verify original estimate quantities for labor cost reports
- Report quantities in place and maintain labor cost reports
- Validate cost codes on timesheets
- Prepare and document extra work orders
- Review and assemble change order submittals and quantity surveys
- Maintain reference log on CMIC
- Maintain progress photo album
- Compile contract close‑out documents (O&M manuals, as‑builts, etc.)
- Document punch list work
Requirements

Candidates must hold an engineering, construction management, or architectural degree (or equivalent certification) and have at least two years of project engineer experience. Desired qualifications include field experience such as carpentry, basic estimating and scheduling skills, strong plan reading ability, effective written and verbal communication, independent judgment, and drafting or computer skills.
