Senior Staff Engineer - Bridge Department

Description

• Lead and support bridge design and analysis, including conceptual, detailed, and load‑rating using industry‑standard software.
• Assist in managing bridge design projects to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery and compliance with client specs, codes, and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and develop innovative design solutions meeting project objectives.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet needs and provide technical support throughout project phases.
• Review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with requirements and standards.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, such as structural, civil, and environmental engineers, to deliver integrated bridge solutions.
• Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and evolving regulations to ensure innovative, compliant designs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s in Structural or Bridge Engineering is a plus.
• 2–4 years of bridge design experience on transportation infrastructure projects, proficient with software like MicroStation, AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, LARSA, etc., and knowledgeable of AASHTO, local, and international codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities to address complex engineering challenges.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
