Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Description

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, and by installing, maintaining and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment throughout the building.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines and document them accurately.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays.
• Create, assign, and close work orders while tracking labor hours, parts used, and inventory.
• Mentor junior technicians to help them develop their skills.
• Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility.

Requirements

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems.
• Have 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance.
• Demonstrate 1+ year of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Understand electrical and electronic principles for at least one year.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project for document creation and management.
• Ability to work flexible schedules or shifts.
• Preferred: Associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field.
• Preferred: Knowledge of MHE safety standards according to OEM and safety regulations.
• Preferred: Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
• Preferred: Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
• Physical ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, use an aerial lift, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment such as hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
