Repair Development Engineer (Aerospace MRO)
Liebherr Group
Multinational family‑owned equipment maker for construction, mining, cranes, automation, refrigeration.
Develop and manage in-house aerospace repair capabilities, processes, and project execution.
You’ll develop, implement and maintain processes/standards for “in-house” repair development and repair engineering.
You’ll review customer specifications, change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in the respective plans, schedules and budgets.
You’ll be the primary focal point for matters related to improvement and standardization of repair development, repair engineering, and best practices/shop methods.
You’ll establish and implement repair development projects, in line with the overall company development program, ensuring availability of new capabilities, on time and within budget.
You’ll promote and execute standards, processes, and test methodology, plans, documents and reports.
You’ll design, document, and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
You’ll initiate and support OEM engineering activities, e.g. work scope review, preventative maintenance programs).
You’ll participate in the specification, review and selection of vendors/suppliers related to our repair requirements.

A broad knowledge of theory, principles and practical application of key management tools, such as project planning, risk assessment, statistics and statistical process control.
Engineering degree in Mechanical / Electronic / Aerospace or Aeronautic or equivalent.
3 - 5 years of experience related to aviation repair or aviation industry environment.
Key understanding of Hydraulic / Pneumatic theory and operation.
Occasional travel to domestic / international destinations for the purpose of training / work related objectives (estimated 10% - 20% of time on an annual basis)
Demonstrated experience in repair workflow processes and repair development of aviation components.
Knowledge of quality systems, policies and procedures and the ability to apply that knowledge to the interpretation of customer requirements.
Understanding of repair station environment operating under relevant Airworthiness standards (e.g. FAA, EASA, CAAS, CAAC).
Proven experience in the use of IT applications, such as CAD/CATIA, 3D modelling, MS Office, e-LIROM, BaaN, Share point, Query Tracker, PowerBI, etc.
Good understanding of technical documents (such as CMMs, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical schematics).
Practical experience in the usage of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs.
