  • Apply a systems approach to identify and close gaps across processes, technology and people
  • Oversee customer-reported incidents and embed structured root cause analysis and lessons learned
  • Support compliance initiatives (e.g. ISO 9001, IEC) ensuring improvements dovetail with certification requirements
  • Explore and introduce AI and data-driven approaches to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Prioritise improvement activity starting with highest-risk areas, then broaden across the organisation
  • Implement early warning systems to identify and prevent potential failures or defects
  • Partner with product managers and engineering leads to manage technical debt and product lifecycle risks
  • Lead the development and rollout of a continuous improvement framework across all EA Technology business lines
  • Track and report key quality and improvement metrics to the CTO and executive team

Due to continued growth and expansion, we’re recruiting for a Head of Quality & Continuous Improvement to join our amazing CTO Team so, if you’re from a strong engineering background with a proven track record in leading quality and improvement programmes across the hardware/software arenas, we’d love to hear from you!

***this role requires you to be on-site in Capenhurst near Chester (CH1 6ES) 2-3 days per week flexing as projects require. Please apply only if you are within a reasonable commuting distance***

  • Strong engineering background (degree preferred but not essential)
  • Formal CL training (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) would be desirable
  • Ability to design and deliver early warning and monitoring systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO frameworks (ISO 9001, IEC)
  • Proven track record in leading quality and improvement programmes across hardware/software contexts
  • Strong engineering skills across hardware and software environments (Hardware preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement, risk management and process development
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, fostering influence through cooperation rather than empire-building
  • Understanding of regulated environments and compliance practices
  • Knowledge of best practice in safety-critical industries (utilities, aerospace, energy, medical)
  • Competence in root cause analysis, risk management and technical debt oversight
  • Demonstrate systems thinking by holistically understanding people, processes and technology and integrating them seamlessly
  • Awareness of AI and data-led QA tools and their application in process improvement
