Advanced understanding of Metes & Bounds or the Public Land Survey System (PLSS)
Requires lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, hammering, digging, and other physical activities.
Advanced knowledge of Trimble surveying instruments & data collectors
Valid US driver's license & good driving record
Advanced understanding of various surveys (topographic mapping, boundary plats, highway plans, roadway stationing, plan & profile, cross sections, horizontal & vertical curves, construction drawings, as-built surveys, and pipeline plans.
6+ years previous surveying experience
Aerial Drone and/or 3D laser scanning experience
Advanced understanding of point code driven linework & construction staking
Advanced math skills including trigonometry, geometry, algebra, surveying coordinates, and surveying computations.
Ability to operate in a mentor / mentee Team atmosphere
Ability to Travel (approximately 80%)
Understands traffic control operations based on field activities.
Previous safety training (OSHA, First-Aid, Confined Space)
Requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work in various terrain & weather conditions and recognize safety hazards.
High School diploma or equivalent
AutoCAD C3D and/or Microstation ORD experience
Proficient with GPS Systems, Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors
Surveyor-in-Training (LSI, LSIT, SIT) certification
Requires the ability to safely operate and drive company vehicles.
