The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining all buildings and operational facilities within the plant. Duties include stocking cabinets, refrigerators, and other areas with supplies and food items, as well as picking up and delivering meals and other items throughout the facility. The role also involves cleaning and organizing materials, offices, and other spaces as required.
- Dust, sweep, and mop floors.
- Empty trash cans and transport waste to dumpsters.
- Clean bathrooms, break rooms, microwaves, tables, fixtures, and chairs.
- Wash glass windows and clean entry/exit rugs.
- Stock cabinets, refrigerators, and other areas with supplies and food items.
- Pick up and deliver meals and other items throughout the facility.
- Lift, carry, and handle cleaning supplies and tools such as mops, buckets, vacuums, and rugs.
- Work in all weather conditions with moderate to high noise levels.

The position demands extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb. Employees must wear required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, ear protection, respirator, safety vest, appropriate gloves, and steel‑toe boots. Work is performed in all weather conditions and in environments with moderate to high noise levels.
Candidates should possess good reading comprehension, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A minimum of one to three years of janitorial experience, reliable transportation, and flexibility to work as needed are required. All hires must pass a drug test and background check and adhere to Zachry Group’s safety values and regulations.
