The Central Service Dispatcher role ensures that equipment moves promptly between customers and Sunbelt stores while complying with company policies and Department of Transportation regulations. Key responsibilities include assisting the Central Service Manager with dispatch operations, creating and monitoring schedules for road mechanics and equipment maintenance, reviewing driver logs, conducting daily truck inspections, and collaborating with other locations to satisfy customer equipment needs. The dispatcher also handles customer complaints, reports issues to supervisors, provides feedback on equipment flow, and adheres to standard operating procedures.
Candidates must possess at least a high‑school education, familiarity with DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and two years of experience with construction or industrial equipment. Strong communication skills, knowledge of the service area, and the physical ability to lift 50 lb and perform repetitive motions are required.
