Oversees a project design team and is accountable for project milestones and the successful deliverable to internal and external customers.
Seek advice from peers to aide in unfamiliar designs and responsibilities to find the best solutions.
Identifies potential issues with project schedules and quality and responds with proposed solutions with internal teams.
Provides effective coaching and mentorship for entry level and junior engineers.
Review calculations and drawings to ensure they are satisfactory to stamp as appropriate.
Ensures safe structures, safe working conditions, quality products, quality service, and satisfied customers by working with all departments within the Company.
Prepares appropriate fixes for errors that have occurred on the projects.
Coordinates with Contractors/Engineers/Architects/Owners as required.
Visits manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required for assigned projects.
Handles concerns and issues as necessary during any phase of the project.
Interpret Architectural/Structural plans and perform required calculations to ensure structural integrity.
Provide sales staff with engineering support for prospective jobs.
Collaborate with internal departments to find optimal solutions.

5+ years of experience required, and a preference in design engineering and the precast industry.
Experience with Microsoft office software.
Currently obtain a Professional Engineer License (PE), or will pursue and maintain PE, within the first year of employment.
Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed
Visual acuity and ability to read small print
Ability to use Revit along with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and other computer software programs
