The Project Executive champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers while upholding the principle of “Constructing with Integrity” through honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work. They are responsible for the financial and overall performance of all projects within their portfolio, ensuring appropriate margin and targeting the right customers. This role also leads pre‑construction efforts, acquires new work, maintains client relationships, and provides a single point of accountability for customer success from cradle to grave.
Key skills include motivating and developing people, exercising good judgment under stress, directing teams in line with core values, and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. The executive must identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions, leveraging deep knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and design techniques. Required qualifications are a 4‑year degree in a construction‑related field, a minimum of 15 years of project management experience, and compliance with company safety and drug testing policies.
