Join IMEG as a Sustainability & Innovation Intern in Naperville, IL, Madison, WI, or St Louis, MO for a 10–12 week program where you will support the Innovation team by providing technical assistance, documenting workflows, and exploring new technologies that drive strategic projects. You will contribute to early‑stage initiatives, shadow senior specialists, and gain hands‑on experience with tools and methods shaping the firm of the future.
The role involves participating in brainstorming sessions, assisting with data collection and reporting, researching emerging technologies, presenting findings to the team, maintaining an innovation log, providing virtual and on‑site technical support, and documenting processes to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
Candidates must have completed at least two years toward a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, with prior internship experience in building design consulting preferred. A strong interest in innovation, working knowledge of data and engineering principles, proficiency with the MS Office suite, and clear oral and written communication skills are required. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
The Sustainability & Innovation team utilizes cutting‑edge tools such as MEG AI, VR/AR, carbon modeling, and data dashboards, and interns can pursue career paths like Innovation Specialist or VR Lead while participating in the IDEA program that encourages inclusive, cross‑disciplinary innovation.
