  • Ensure materials, components, and tools are available to meet daily production goals. Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical assembly issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Lift and handle parts up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Collaborate with global experts from across the Trench Group and network
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections throughout the assembly process. Operate hand tools, torque wrenches, measuring devices, and specialized assembly equipment safely and accurately.
  • Perform and oversee assembly of high-voltage bushings and subcomponents following work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist with updating work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assembly documentation.
  • Assign tasks and balance workload based on skill levels and production priorities. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the department.
  • Lead daily operations within the assembly area to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Contribute to sustainable infrastructure and innovation-driven solutions in the energy sector
  • Support process audits and contribute to corrective/preventive action plans. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
  • Ensure all work meets HSP and Trench Group quality standards, including adherence to ISO procedures.
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and performance feedback to assembly team members.
  • Act as a key point of contact between the assembly team, maintenance, and production management.

  • Use of PPE as required (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment involving resin, epoxy, or other industrial materials.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a lead, team leader, or senior assembler role strongly preferred. Experience with high-voltage, electrical, or heavy mechanical products (e.g., transformers, bushings, or similar equipment) is an asset.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and general hand tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a small team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
