Architectural Project Manager | Education

Description

The position requires managing project schedules, fee structures, and budgets while delivering projects on time and within scope. The manager will lead staff, define roles, provide mentorship, and encourage open dialogue for design and technical ideation. Coordination with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders is essential to achieve cohesive project delivery.

• Develop competitive fee structures and manage project budgets
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules
• Lead project teams, assign roles, and mentor staff
• Facilitate open dialogue for design and technical ideation
• Oversee design development, construction documentation, and quality control
• Coordinate internal staff, external consultants, and contractors
• Conduct client presentations and manage client relations
• Identify and resolve code, regulatory, and technical challenges
• Drive innovation and incorporate sustainable design solutions
• Ensure QA/QC and adherence to industry standards and best practices

Requirements

Qualifications include an NAAB‑accredited degree or equivalent, professional registration, and at least eight years of commercial design experience with a focus on K‑12 education. Candidates must demonstrate high commitment to QA/QC, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Experience with sustainable design, code research, and managing consultants and contractors is required.

• Hold an NAAB‑accredited degree or equivalent and professional registration
• Bring 8+ years of commercial design experience, including K‑12 education projects
• Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and detail‑oriented skills
• Demonstrate ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables
• Proficient in managing overall project fees, schedules, and constructability analysis
• Willingness to travel as project needs dictate
