Intern, Electrical (Summer 2026)

Description

• Performs Revit modeling and detailing
• Assists to prepare narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.
• Coordinates designs with the work of Electrical Designers.
• Additional assignments may include attending client and internal meetings, assisting with performing construction contract administration, and assisting with marketing/business development activities.
• Assists to conduct site investigations and observations.
• Assists to design and specify project-appropriate electrical engineering requirements.
• Assists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.

Requirements

• Active involvement and demonstrated leadership skills in extracurricular activities on campus and in the community is preferred.
• Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills and knowledge of other building systems.
• Knowledge and proficiency using Visual or AGi32, ElumTools for Revit, DIVA for Rhino, SKM PowerTools, or COMcheck is a plus.
• Knowledge and proficiency with computer software including REVIT MEP is preferred.
• Must be working towards graduation of ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical/lighting emphasis.
• Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-discipline team.
