Description

Key duties include assisting guests with the check‑in/out process, coordinating all guest requests, informing guests about hotel services and amenities, and personally welcoming them by name when possible. The host also prepares, stocks, serves, and cleans beverage and food stations, sets up and breaks down meeting spaces, and prepares food for events.

Additional responsibilities involve following the hotel’s rate structures, discounts, and upsell strategies, performing cashiering tasks such as billing and posting charges, responding to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and security threats, canceling reservations according to policy, reporting repair needs, and maintaining safety procedures.

• Process guest check‑ins and check‑outs, issue room keys.
• Coordinate guest requests and provide information on hotel services and amenities.
• Prepare, stock, serve, and clean beverage and food stations.
• Set up and break down meeting spaces and prepare food for events.
• Follow rate structures, discounts, and upsell strategies.
• Perform cashiering tasks, including billing, posting charges, and adjustments.
• Respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and security threats per protocol.
• Cancel reservations according to policy and report repair needs.
• Maintain all safety procedures while working.
• Work weekends and holidays, arrive on time in proper uniform.
• Stand or walk up to 8 hours and perform occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling.

Requirements

Behaviorally, the host is expected to solve problems effectively, stay positive in a fast‑paced setting, act honorably, and demonstrate eagerness to grow within the company while providing personalized guest service. The role requires availability on most weekends and holidays, punctuality, proper uniform, and the ability to stand or walk up to eight hours with occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling.
