System Engineer

Description

• Requirements capture and definition from stakeholder needs through to sub-systems; ownership of traceability and verification.
• Working with Engineering Leads and Partners to define the segment and associated sub-system architectures via integrated Working Groups
• Solution Lead for customer and internal governance reviews
• Verification, Validation and Test (VV&T) support
• Inform stakeholders on progress and problem resolution

Requirements

• Ground System level architectural design definition and trade-offs
• Experience in the design, integration and roll out of end-to-end digital telecommunications systems (milsatcom desirable) covering
• Experience of engagement with customers and partners
• Systems Engineering and project management inputs as required - to support planning, schedule and cost activities
• Experience of defining solutions within an Architectural Framework using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and appropriate tools (EA desirable)
• University degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline
• Working understanding of portfolios in terms of satellite platforms and payloads, satellite control, mission control, and network control
• Robust presentation and writing skills
• space, control and ground segments using Waterfall or Agile methodologies
