Clarify and communicate the project scope to Team members. The Project Engineer is the custodian of the work scope and shall work with the Client and the Team to resolve discipline scope queries.
Supports/Leads technical open book engineering process with contractors during development of major projects and applies value engineering concepts to ensure projects are competitive.
Performs/Manages the review of engineering design to assure compliance with the contract, design codes, and client standards while ensuring design supports the strategic, operational and maintenance goals of the project.
Coordinates with the Project Manager in following the Project Delivery System and ensuring requirements are met and producing associated deliverables.
Ensure coordination of interfaces among engineering disciplines and with procurement, vendors, and partners.
Provides guidance on design and technical direction to engineering staff.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Ensures documentation of engineering and design quality is adequately captured to support audit and prudency review.
Assists Contractor and Vendors during design to resolve technical queries, and interfaces.
Ensuring that project registers (e.g. needs, actions, risks, etc.) are populated and maintained.
Ensure that assigned projects are executed in accordance with Project Procedures (e.g. Project Execution Plan, Engineering Directives), Kent Quality Process, Client Standards, and applicable Industry Codes and Regulatory Requirements.
Organize and lead project engineering meetings, ensures participation from the Team.
Manage all the technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Participates in contractor/vendor selection process with a specific goal of assessing engineering experience, competencies and capability.
Supports/Leads cross-functional team consisting of internal Subject Matter Experts, Owners Engineers, Contractors and Technical Consultants from development of Engineering contract through the delivery of the Project and Closeout.

Capable of performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
Broad knowledge of engineering discipline activities.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Minimum 5 years in Project Engineering role required.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and decision-making skills.
Strong personal initiative, sound planning and problem solving capacity and effective interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other related programs.
Proven experience on Project Execution.
Professional registrations or license is not required but is preferred.
Previous experience working in large FEED or EPC projects.
Able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
Minimum 10 years’ related experience in design engineering or consulting required. Previous Engineering & Construction (E&C) experience is preferred.
In depth understanding of the Oil & Gas industry, and stakeholders including operators, EPC providers, Engineering houses, classification societies, fabrication yards and installation companies.
Knowledge of safety and quality procedures.
