Locate manholes using GPS (survey equipment), taking pictures using a tablet, and inspecting for infiltration and cracks are the main goals for this work.
Be a part of the project team and under the supervision of Professional Engineers, performing manhole inspections throughout the City of Canton sewer systems.

Current student at an accredited college or university working toward bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or Mapping.
Provide knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a real-life application of civil engineering.
Previous survey experience a plus.
Ability to lift manhole covers up to 80 lbs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Office products required. AutoCAD or ArcGIS experience a plus.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and work outdoors.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
