The position is responsible for planning, programming, and developing healthcare departments within large, complex medical facilities. It involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, guiding client expectations through needs assessments, and contributing to project work plans and presentations.

- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver project sections on schedule and within budget.
- Lead user/client meetings for needs assessment and develop functional space programs.
- Communicate client vision and goals through project work plans during the planning phase.
- Participate in client presentations and project meetings, providing direction to team and consultants.
- Support the production team with documents reflecting owner’s goals and answer clinically significant questions.
- Oversee shop drawing review to ensure design intent is met.
- Mentor less‑experienced planning team members.
- Travel to client sites as needed.

Candidates must have at least ten years of recent experience in healthcare planning and a broad background across inpatient, ambulatory, diagnostic, and academic facilities. Required skills include strong knowledge of healthcare codes and standards, proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD preferred), and an associate degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field; professional registration and sustainability accreditation are preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of recent experience planning healthcare departments in large medical facilities.
- Experience with inpatient, ambulatory, diagnostic, and academic medical projects.
- In‑depth knowledge of healthcare codes and standards (IBC, ADA, ANSI, NFPA, FGI, etc.).
- Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD preferred.
- Associate degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or related field; architectural degree preferred.
- Professional registration and sustainability accreditation preferred.
