Coordinate resources for focused supplier lean initiatives, design for manufacturing (DFM), and risk management related to critical programs.
Partner with NPI Supply Specialists, Category Management, Product Management, Engineering, etc. to build and complete funnel building and ideation for PPV, VAVE, and Other Margin Expansion opportunities.
Coordinate with program and business leadership to develop metrics and ensure that “true north” objectives are measured and achieved.
Plan & mobilize resources of the supply chain management project team to fulfill program and project plans including: Category Management, Supplier Development/Supplier Quality, NPI Supply Specialists.
Participate in sourcing category long-range planning processes and establish program encouraging annual category objectives and strategies.
Ensure that category sourcing strategies are followed by new product development teams, including analysis and review of customer requirements, product requirements, quality requirements, market conditions, supplier capabilities, the approved supplier list, and category strategic plans.
Consult in supplier negotiations bringing to bear program and product market intelligence, forecasts, etc. Partner with category sourcing to ensure favorable sourcing agreements to support both NPI program and serial production.
Lead and mentor strategic sourcing and purchasing activity from ideation phases through early prototype phases into serial production.
Promote early supplier involvement in new product development teams to drive down costs, improve manufacturability of parts for suppliers, and maintain the highest quality of products. Provide forums for new potential and existing suppliers to share the latest technologies with engineering and sourcing teams.
Coordinate with category management teams to develop detailed market and competitive analysis through insight on new product development priorities and markets.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with cross-functional business partners to ensure that business requirements are understood and translated into effective material category strategies.

Bachelor's degree in business or Supply Chain Management or a related field.
8+ years of experience in a relatively large supply chain organization required.
Experience directly managing complex categories.
Strong negotiation skills including experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.
