Description

This role involves production, assembly, and general labor tasks on a door manufacturing line, including visual quality inspection of door stacks, repairing defects, restacking approved doors, operating jump tracks, and preparing doors for the paint booth using tools such as glue guns, sanders, chisels, Bondo, and hot‑melt glue.

The position requires moderate responsibility for decision‑making on repairs, minimizing cost of quality impact, and communicating defects promptly to upstream and downstream departments.

• Perform visual quality checks on door stacks and document defects.
• Repair or reject doors using glue guns, sanders, Bondo, hot‑melt glue, and other hand tools.
• Operate jump tracks, straighten doors, and load door stacks onto paint‑booth infeed tracks.
• Read and interpret ticket specifications to guide repair decisions.
• Identify defects, decide repairability, and minimize cost of quality impact.
• Communicate defect information quickly to upstream and downstream teams.
• Work in a noisy, dusty environment with temperature variations.
• Maintain high craftsmanship standards and demonstrate creativity in repairs.
• Follow safety and quality standards in a fast‑paced production setting.

Requirements

Employees must read and interpret ticket instructions, identify product quality issues, and operate hand and power tools with high attention to detail while multitasking across various stages of door production.

Physical demands include lifting up to 80 lb, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive motions in a dusty, noisy environment that can experience temperature extremes.
