Regional Commercial Manager

Leading UK M&E design‑and‑build specialist delivering bespoke mechanical, electrical and digital engineering solutions.
Manages commercial aspects of MEP services for a £40M regional portfolio.
Leadership and Liaison: Demonstrate leadership and uphold Wates values; ensure MEP commercial staff understand and follow the Code of Conduct; liaise with construction Regional Commercial Managers/Directors on all MEP commercial matters to maximise value.
Procurement and Compliance: Ensure MEP subcontractors and suppliers are procured on time, meet safety and quality standards, and comply with financial requirements; escalate issues as necessary.
Profit Monitoring: Agree on MEP project profit plans and stretch profit plans and monitor these throughout the procurement and construction processes; escalate concerns as appropriate.
Financial Oversight: Complete and discuss monthly MEP Monthly Cost Reports with the Construction Commercial function; regularly consult with the MEP Regional Commercial Director, advising on recovery strategies as needed.
