The Safety & Health Coordinator is an individual contributor who provides administrative support and coordinates safety and health programs at a specified Marvin manufacturing facility. Reporting through the Operations structure, the role ensures a safe, healthy, and accident‑free work environment that meets OSHA and best‑practice standards.
In this position you will lead safety and health activities across the site, working closely with department leaders, employees, and site management to drive injury‑prevention initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations, company policies, and enterprise‑level procedures. You will assist the EHS team and Safety Committee with audits, hazard communication, equipment testing, health screenings, and the implementation of administrative and engineering controls.
- Coordinate site safety & health activities to ensure regulatory compliance and a best‑in‑class safety culture.
- Collaborate with leadership, employees, and site management to generate and implement safety improvements.
- Maintain local safety & health policies aligned with enterprise standards.
- Conduct safety audits with the EHS team and Safety Committee, documenting findings and reports.
- Provide signage, barriers, and materials to warn of and prevent hazards.
- Test and service safety equipment and systems alongside EHS Specialists.
- Implement administrative and engineering controls to mitigate hazards.
- Schedule and verify completion of health screenings (hearing, hazmat, respiratory fit testing).
- Participate in Safety Committee, Ergonomics Team, and other local safety groups.
- Enter root‑cause and corrective‑action data into the incident reporting system.
- Deliver safety education, training, and communications, including new‑hire orientation and safety alerts.
- Assist with first‑aid massage scheduling, accompany associates to medical appointments, and support safety programs such as Red Cards, boot vouchers, and ergonomic initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and Microsoft Office skills, a solid aptitude for technology, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both management and floor staff. A willingness to grow in the safety field, pursue additional certifications, travel up to 10 % of the time, work occasional off‑hours, and remain on‑feet throughout the shift are also required.
