Senior Cost Manager (Pre Con)

The position encompasses a broad range of cost‑management activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring value for money and transparent communication.

• Participate in tender/bid processes from documentation to analysis and reporting.
• Manage change management, identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing cost‑impacting changes.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Prepare and agree final accounts, handling claims to secure best value.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by producing valuations, cost reports, and communicating variations.
• Provide cost documentation and timely communication to support agile project management.
• Assist in resolving construction disputes and loss/expense claims transparently.
• Mentor and lead team members to achieve high performance.

Requirements

• Senior cost manager experience, preferably from a consultancy background.
• Pre‑contract cost management expertise, including budget control, cost planning, and change form preparation, with knowledge of alternative construction materials.
• Chartered status or progress toward chartership (support provided).
• Degree or equivalent experience in project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with team and clients, fostering openness and fun.

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required. The salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $145,000, dependent on skill set, education, and experience.
