The role involves feeding and stacking lumber into a saw, cutting it to the dimensions specified on the cut sheet, and repeatedly lifting material throughout the shift. You will verify cut sizes with a tape measure, band finished products, label them for forklift operators, and keep the equipment and work area clean. Additional responsibilities include assisting other team members and performing other tasks as assigned.
Employees must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop continuously, and lift a minimum of 50 lb repeatedly. The position requires eight-hour days with two 15‑minute breaks, the ability to use tools, and work in a fast‑paced environment with extreme temperature conditions. Clear communication with teammates and adherence to company procedures are also essential.
Consistent, high-quality performance and punctual attendance at team meetings are expected. Workers should inspect their output before it moves to another department, seek efficiency, and willingly assist colleagues when needed. A successful candidate can pass a drug screen and physical examination.
