Work closely with Design, Construction, Supply Chain, Network Engineering, Data Center Design, and Operations teams to identify the most efficient ways to scale infrastructure and deploy services.
Forecast demand across all product lines and analyze trends to inform strategic deployment and expansion plans
Analyze usage patterns, revenue trends, and financial reports to support budget planning and assess capacity impact
Collaborate with Finance to balance cost efficiency with technical and business requirements
Apply exceptional problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to infrastructure planning and optimization
Define and implement comprehensive capacity planning processes, methodologies, and data models to deliver executable and optimized capacity plans
Define and lead the development of capacity dashboards to monitor infrastructure utilization and proactively manage capacity shifts
Develop and analyze business and technical scenarios to inform executive decision-making on infrastructure investments and service delivery
Own end-to-end capacity planning for Equinix’s global data center infrastructure portfolio, ensuring optimal scaling across compute, network, and storage resources
Proactively identify capacity risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and operational efficiency.
Drive improvements in planning efficiency and quality through automation and tooling, partnering with software engineers to implement solutions
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders through clear presentations and collaborative engagement
Lead cross-functional initiatives to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models, and deliver strategic recommendations
Partner with Engineering, Software, Construction and Operations teams to optimize infrastructure at the intersection of hardware, software, and data center operations
Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Design teams to align infrastructure scaling with customer demand signals and market growth

Ability to work on global teams and influence cross-functionally
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
Deep experience in building, analyzing and interpreting statistical modeling within supply chain
Demonstrated ability to lead capacity planning and efficiency teams, managing complex projects with a focus on quality and timely delivery
Related experience in the Data Center industry or similar critical infrastructure industry preferred.
