Determine costs for civil/sitework scope
Assist with training others on estimating team
Maintain good relationships with colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors
Meet bidding deadlines and/or due dates for tasks assigned by senior staff
Review project plans, specifications and other Owner provided documents especially related to civil scopes, such as grading plans, erosion/sediment control plans, landscape plans and Geotechnical reports
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil/sitework scope based on construction documents, including coordinating subcontractor quotes
Communicate/coordinate with field teams to gather feedback to inform new estimates
Assist with determining schedule activities and durations related to civil scopes for input into project schedules

Minimum 3 years Estimating experience desired, preferably in heavy civil and/or utility scale solar construction.

Working knowledge of Photovoltaic systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) desired
Experience estimating and/or managing utility scale projects in the Midwest, southeast, mid-Atlantic, and northeast desired.
Periodic travel to project sites across the country, as well as travel to San Diego if based in another location
Critical thinking and ability to quickly learn new concepts
Construction Management or Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Understanding of civil scopes for solar sites such as clearing and grubbing, earthwork, sediment and erosion control, road construction, trenching and site stabilization measures
Project management and/or field experience desired
