Digital & Information is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today and digitally transforming future capability to enable provision of digital services to our customers, community and people. The group is accountable to formulate and execute Urban Utilities’ digital & data strategy, deliver Urban Utilities digital portfolio and provide day-to-day operations of information technology (IT), operating technology (OT), data, and the Internet of Things (IOT), including security, infrastructure management, system administration, network operations, and support services.
Our Digital & Information group have an exciting opportunity for a Data & Analytics Specialist with experience working in large, data-rich organisations to join our Data and Performance team within our newly established Digital Experience and Operations branch.
The Data & Analytics Specialist will play a pivotal role in the technical management and uplift of capability in our Analytics platform, which includes supporting the transition of the Azure SQL Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Power BI reporting platform into a unified architecture. Your skills will help drive capability improvements, with integrated OT real-time capabilities, data science and enabling technical engineers to achieve significant data-based outcomes for Urban Utilities. As the Data & Analytics Platform specialist, you will lead operational platform change and improvements, have demonstrated skills in enabling data and analytics capability uptake, and assist our Urban Utilities community in building our data capability to support critical services to our customers.

Performance of ‘on call’ duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on-call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position. The days, times, duration and frequency of on call arrangements may be subject to change, including at short notice, as required by Urban Utilities’ operational needs as applying from time to time. At all times whilst on-call, you must be fit for duty, contactable, and able to respond, including the ability to physically attend if required, to the operational needs of the business within a reasonable timeframe and in a safe manner. The remuneration for the role has been calculated to include compensation for the requirement to remain available to perform work during on call periods and for the performance of work outside the ordinary hours of work as part of on call processes and otherwise. In some instances, additional compensation and remuneration may apply.
