Description

• Review all billing with administrative team for their submission
• Review all bid requirements/qualifications and work with administrative team to ensure all criteria are met
• Prepare and submit change orders
• Attend pre-bid site meetings as required
• Prepare and submit proposals and/or bid forms
• Create detailed estimates including labor, material, sub-contractor and other job costs
• Prepare and submit closeout documents
• Prepare and submit all required submittals and shop drawings
• Work directly with project manager making sure every detail and expectation is clear and concise before handing project off
• Submit pre-bid RFI's in timely manner
• Organize all bid documents including drawings, specifications, addendums, photos, etc.
• Solicit quotes from vendors and sub-contractors
• Prepare quality takeoffs from drawings, satellite imagery and/or site visits
• Prepare P.O.'s for vendors and sub-contractors for review with project manager.

Requirements

Alloy Architectural Solutions is seeking to hire an Architectural Sheet Metal Estimator for our Melrose Park, IL office. The estimator's primary role will be preparing detailed estimates for commercial projects.

• Previous experience in Architectural Sheet Metal estimating including but not limited to standing seam roofing, ACM/composite wall panel systems, IMP panels, roofing related sheet metal (gutters, gravel stop, coping, etc.)
• CAD experience
• Project management experience
• Value engineering skills to help projects meet budgets
• Degree in the construction management field
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to generate new customers and maintain existing customers
• Ability to navigate and understand blueprints in both electronic and paper form
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Good communication skills to effectively turn projects over to project manager
