We are adding two senior roles to the Digital Product Management organization. This position focuses on building new experiences that enable customers to select their “perfect” Caterpillar product, while a sister role concentrates on search and discovery on cat.com. The successful candidate will be a strategic product‑management leader responsible for a portfolio that enhances customer‑facing experiences across machines, engines, power systems and related products.
The role requires leading a team of six to eight Digital Product Specialists, overseeing discovery, research and product‑management activities for cat.com’s product‑selection journey, attachment selection and aftermarket offerings. You will drive strategy, solution design and prioritization of features, translating broad ideas into clear customer requirements and aligning them with business goals. Collaboration with upstream business units on marketing strategy and downstream Application Engineering, Platform and AI teams ensures timely development and release of new features.
Successful candidates bring at least five years of experience leading product teams that deliver conversion‑focused enterprise websites, apps or eCommerce solutions for B2B industries such as manufacturing, automotive or retail. They possess strong decision‑making, communication and software‑product knowledge, including change‑request management, engineering fundamentals and business acumen. Experience influencing without formal authority in a complex matrixed organization, coaching teams, and managing budgets is essential.
Preferred qualifications include managing UX and design for complex equipment configurations, working within a heavy‑equipment or similar distribution model, and applying experience‑mapping techniques such as user‑story mapping or object‑oriented UX. Familiarity with Agile environments, content‑management systems like Adobe Experience Manager, and the Caterpillar dealer network further strengthens the profile.
