Maintain a clean appearance at all times.
Abide by the rules and requirements while on customer or GFL property.
Treat all customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Responsible for the characterization, research, packing, and labeling of chemical waste for the transportation of the material from the customer site to the applicable GFL facility.
Complete all necessary paperwork to complete job including acquiring signatures as required.
Assist both sales and operations with Technical information gathering for materials going into or out of GFL’s Liquid East facilities.
Assist with the coding and shipments of Lab-Pack materials.
Conduct regular vehicle and equipment inspections according to requirements and document.
Perform lab packing and de-packing duties.
Provide technical assistance to Customers via site visits, sampling and assisting with the classification of waste materials.
Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance to GFL Environmental Services Inc. transportation standard operating procedures, and government regulations.

Valid DZ License is a requirement. **Must be willing to drive company vehicle every day (this may require 2 overnight trips on average per month)**

Must be safety conscious and detail oriented
Previous lab, sales and industry experience is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of TDG, Reg. 347 and Ontario Health and Safety Act an asset
Strong organizational and communication skills
Competent computer skills
University or college degree in an applicable field – Chemistry, Environmental Affairs, Biology, etc. is considered an asset
Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment
Ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision
Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts, overnight trips out of town
