- Keep current on federal, state, and investor regulations related to loan closings
- Perform funding authorization and coordinate disbursement of funds
- Ensure all closing conditions are met prior to disbursement
- Prepare and review closing documents in accordance with loan approval terms, investor guidelines, and regulatory compliance
- Issue and manage Closing Disclosures (CDs) and final settlement statements
- Coordinate loan closings with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, lenders, and internal departments
- Verify loan data, including loan amount, interest rate, and fees, to ensure accuracy
- Communicate regularly with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely closings
- Maintain complete and accurate loan files in accordance with company and investor requirements
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external partners

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the timely and accurate closing of residential mortgage loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth transition from underwriting to funding.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of mortgage closing experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- Experience with mortgage loan origination systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with TRID and other applicable compliance regulations
- Strong knowledge of residential loan closing documents and procedures (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
