Leads the transition from the preconstruction phase to the construction phase by transferring Mechanical system information to the construction team members and reviews all Subcontractor agreements
Enhances relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, design consultants, )
Tracks current pricing and compiles cost data for incorporation into estimating database
Ensures the constructability of the design and compatibility with local building codes
Develop cost savings solutions based on potential and proposed MEP systems.
Serves as a technical resource for the project teams
Responsible for maintenance of subcontractor bid lists and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers ability and capacity
Engages in the training and development of all estimators assigned to the department as it relates to systems knowledge
Perform in-house HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Suppression estimates.
Develops subcontractor RFPs, thoroughly analyses responses, and aids in interviewing subcontractors for selection
Identifies the appropriate subcontractor bidders based on the project size and type along with the current workload and manpower availability
Oversees the preparation of detailed deliverables and estimates for both competitive.

BS/BA in engineering, construction science, or relevant discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Complete knowledge in building designs, specialized Mechanical systems, and construction materials
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to negotiate
