Design and develop automotive compliant analog and digital circuit schematics
Develop and design embedded system circuit and wiring diagram for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) of robotic systems by selecting appropriate technology and components
Prepare reports and presentations on the status of the design and development process for discussion with stakeholders.
Lead and/or support Lab qualification and/or field trial of the developed product at various locations worldwide.
Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures
Iteratively develop proof-of-concept implementations, prototypes and demos to fine-tune technologies to practical, state-of-the-art systems
Liaise with external research agencies/vendors or Institutes to develop competency in technology and build products/prototypes that provide strategic advantage to Oceaneering in the market place.
Define functional processes and work towards continuous improvement. Work as a change agent to onboard relevant stakeholders
Keep abreast of industry trends and issues
Review the block diagrams / layout drawings prepared by entry level Engineers and Drafters for electrical, network, control circuits etc.
Conduct and lead research for cost reduction of electrical and electronic hardware with the required robotic system endurance, mobility & perception
Peer-review work carried out by other engineers, review the documents prepared by the team and approve the same.
Learn and apply knowledge of hardware design standards and best practices
Develop and share awareness of modern Electro-mechanical systems and design alternatives
Work with third parties to manufacture and test Printed Circuit Boards

Knowledge in Motor Drives and Power Electronics is desirable
Graduation (bachelor's degree) in Instrumentation Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with minimum four years of relevant industry experience
Strong background in mathematics and/or statistics is highly desirable.
Post Graduation (master's degree) in Instrumentation Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with minimum two years of relevant industry experience, OR
Understand and adhere to organizational HSE policies and practices
Hands on experience in MATLAB/SIMULINK and/or any other simulation tool would be an advantage
Knowledge in Electro-Mechanical Systems and CAD drawings would be an advantage
