What you would be doing

Operate Equipment: Safely operate a variety of equipment relevant to the materials handling process within your assigned area.
Maintain Organization: Keep the material staging areas clean, organized, and efficient.
Drive Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities to enhance material flow processes and overall efficiency.
Coordinate and Communicate: Release work orders promptly and perform the necessary system transactions to maintain accurate inventory records. Proactively communicate with the team and leadership when issues arise that could affect on-time delivery.
Manage Material Flow: Monitor and respond to signals (physical cards, system alerts, and other triggers) to ensure materials and work-in-progress (WIP) are picked and delivered to support production schedules.

Key Characteristics: You must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure. You should be a strong communicator, a team player, and adaptable to changing business needs.
Respectful and team oriented
Knowledge: A solid understanding of production processes, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and business software, including ERP systems like JD Edwards, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
Experience: At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
